The new generation of AXA Titan® saves the professional even more money and precious assembly time.

However, the enthusiastic reception of the thieves’ clawless AXA Titan® security hinge in 2018 in the market did not mean that AXA has been sitting still. Thanks to the valuable feedback we received, the hinge has been further developed over the past few years. The end result: a smarter design and thus the new generation of the AXA Titan® security hinge!

The Titan® Topcoat + Klik washer plate is the latest addition to the Titan® product series.

The hinge comes with the 1 mm thick Klik washer plate snapped to the door joint. This makes mounting and adjusting the door even easier.

Thanks to the unique double rolling, the Titan® has a high load capacity (180 kg with 3 hinges). The hinge complies with SKG-3 (resistance class 3) with only 3 instead of 5 hinges.

Highest security level

The innovative automatic locking spring construction effectively blocks the hinge pin. With this thieves’ clawless locking system, the latest generation of AXA TItan® security hinge also meets the strict requirements of the Police Mark Safe Living.

Only SKG 3-star certification (resistance class 3) requires three AXA Titan® security hinges per door.

NEN building regulations

The new security hinge also meets the CE requirements according to the NEN-EN 1935 and the requirements of theNEN 5096 of the Building Decree for doors.

Headless hinge pin, clean design

The AXA Titan® headless hinge pin prevents unnecessary mounting damage to the frame and, combined with the hidden locking system, gives a quiet, clean appearance. Because the thief’s claw is missing, the hinge is even less noticeable when the door is open.

Moreover, thanks to its clever dimensioning, the AXA Titan® security hinge fits seamlessly into the recess of a traditional 89x 89 x 3 mm hinge.

 

Low maintenance thanks to Topcoat®

Made of galvanized steel, the AXA Titan® security hinge is additionally protected with Topcoat®, making it optimally resistant to weathering.

Extreem draagvermogen

The AXA Titan® security hinge is able to withstand torsional forces thanks to the extremely strong double-rolled hinge blades and the extra-thick 8 mm hinge pin.

In fact, the hinges are so strong that you only need three per door at a maximum load of 180 kg. So even with a door closer or door stop you are usually done with three hinges. Saving time and money and looking even neater.

 

Thieves' claw unnecessary

Wear-resistant bearing combination

The wear-resistant combination of steel and self-lubricating plastic bearings in the hinge significantly reduces the risk of bearing breakage when the hinge pin is inserted. This also prevents the ‘slip-stick’ effect, where cracking or squeaking can occur when two objects slide over each other under high loads.

The plastic bearings of high-quality AXApom not only turn smoothly and silently, they are also designed to stay securely in place at all times.

 

 

Reduced assembly time

When using the AXA Titan® security hinge with automatic locking, as with the original design, no more than three security hinges are needed for SKG 3-star certification. This saves significantly in assembly time.

Thanks to the automatic locking feature, you can install the hinge as desired without any additional operation. The headless design of the hinge pin also ensures, that it can be installed from both below and above. Handy!

The hinge pin latch of the AXA Titan® security hinge has a locking mechanism with locking spring construction that you only need to lift briefly to click it loose. Once the lock is released, you can tap the headless hinge pin out of the hinge with a simple strike from above or below.

Please note that before you remove the hinge pin, you should always unlock the locking spring first!
